Switching from Bizimply
When someone calls in sick, Bizimply shows you the gap. roster can fill it.
Bring your staff and their pay rates across in one file, and run this week’s schedule on roster. Everything a schedule tool does, plus somewhere to turn when the schedule falls apart.
Moving across takes one file
Export from Bizimply
Download your people as a CSV or spreadsheet. The file their system gives you is the file roster reads, title rows and all.
Import the CSV
roster finds the header row and maps the columns itself. You see exactly who will be created, and who will be skipped and why, before anything is saved.
Your schedule runs this week
Build the week, publish it, and put the clock on the wall. Nothing needs to be typed in twice.
What carries over
roster reads the export as it comes out of their system, including the title rows above the headers, so nothing needs rearranging first.
Your people
First and last names come across joined, with phone and email where your file has them. Anyone the file cannot describe properly is skipped and named, never guessed at.
Your areas
The main position on each row becomes a role in roster, so bar, floor and kitchen are separate on the schedule from the first week. Roles carry the pay rate, which is what makes the schedule cost anything.
Your pay rates
Hourly rates arrive with the person. A row with no rate is skipped rather than imported at zero, because a member of staff with no rate is how a wrong wage happens.
If the file has no job titles in it, everyone arrives on one starting role and you set the real ones in Employees. roster tells you that when it happens rather than leaving you to notice.
What you get that a schedule tool cannot give you
Cover, not just the gap
A schedule tool can show you that Saturday is short. roster can post that shift to workers who can take it, and you only pay when the shift completes.
One all-in rate
The rate you set is the price you pay, with nothing added on top, charged after the shift completes.
Fill the room as well as the schedule
Events and offers you publish appear on
, so the same account that staffs the night can help fill it.
Try it with your own export
Create an account, import your file, and see your own team on a schedule before you decide anything. Posting a shift costs nothing, and you only pay when a shift completes. The schedule, clock and timecards are free for seven days, then a flat monthly plan.
